Thanks for stopping by! Here's a little bit about my background.

My three decades in the retail food industry taught me a lot about food (I’m great at selecting a ripe cantaloupe) but what I really learned about was people. Engaging with shoppers (especially unhappy ones), coaching and training employees, and mentoring emerging leaders are skills I’ve developed over the years.

Today my goal is to help others find the right path to their own best future. After leaving the corporate life I wanted to find something that would allow me to fulfill my interest in helping others realize their dreams.

There is a saying among cyclists: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with someone else.” That’s how I feel about coaching – I get to help others in their journey toward self-sufficiency and show them paths they never knew existed so they can realize their own dreams.

As a SCORE Certified Mentor I added to my skills coach, and my decision to become a Career Ownership Coach with The Entrepreneur’s Source was an easy one, as it gave me a platform and the skills training to accomplish my mission of helping others succeed by finding their best path – no matter where that path leads.

My mantra is “you don’t know what you don’t know,” and my goal is to help you expand your perspective and consider things you haven’t so that you can make informed choices about your future.

I am an avid cyclist, runner, and dog lover. Being a business owner gives the me the time to spend with my wife and teenage daughter.

 

Work history.

My career has been in and around the retail food industry for nearly four decades. I started bagging groceries in school and worked up to part-time clerk. After my service in the U.S. Air Force, I returned to the world of supermarkets, moving into store management roles, building my coaching and training skills.

From stores I moved to corporate marketing and advertising: creating campaigns, shooting commercials, and launching online shopping solutions while building and motivating teams.

As an entrepreneur and SCORE Certified Mentor I have the privilege of helping others discover and use their transferable skills to launch their own successful business and create the income and lifestyle they desire.

Coaching highlights.

As a leader in corporate America, I’ve trained, mentored, and coached people at all levels. My experience spans being a management trainee to becoming a management trainer to training those trainers to advising senior leadership and board-level executives.

Coaching and mentoring is my true calling. As a Career Ownership Coach I help people who know only that they want something better but don’t know about the myriad options available to them. As a SCORE Certified Mentor I work with business owners and help them make the leap from startup to success to exit.

If you are ready to get off the corporate treadmill – or even if  you aren’t quite ready but want to learn about options – I provide guidance, education, and a safe space to help you make an informed decision about the possibilities that await you.

I appreciate the time Jeff spent introducing me to career opportunities outside of the corporate sphere. After enjoying several years in healthcare, I’ve become a bit burned out and open to alternative employment options. Jeff helped me recognize I possess transferrable skills and knowledge which could facilitate this change.

Since meeting Jeff, my mindset has changed making me more confident in my talents and abilities. As such, I’m extremely grateful for the coaching sessions provided by Jeff during our one-one meetings.
